Lefkada
Lefkada is the fourth largest island of the Ionian Sea. It is located south of Corfu and very close to the coasts of the Greek mainland, to which it is connected with a bridge and visitors come by car. The name of the island means “white” thanks to the white abrupt rocks on the southern side of the island. With lush green nature, traditional villages and hospitable people, Lefkada is one of the most popular summer destinations in Greece.
Lefkada is also famous for the magnificent beaches with the crystal blue water. In fact, the beach of Porto Katsiki is regularly included by international travel magazines among the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. In our island, you can find secluded beaches to enjoy a calm swim, or cosmopolitan coasts. Windsurfers will particularly love the beaches of Agios Ioannis and Vassiliki.
